Talecraft - Mint Tin Edition is Out!

I’ve been wanting to have Talecraft in a mint tin package for the longest time. Since my friend, James Lo, told me about this Print-on-Demand Card Printer who offered it anyway. And now, it’s here! I know you can get caught in a story string at any time. This small package fits perfectly in your pocket, letting you whip up a story from the Talecraft cards anywhere you are. You can get it for US$19.99 from The Game Crafters.

Talecraft is a story-creation card deck designed to help creators make stories based on story genres, character archetypes, and keywords they pick. It not only helps to combat writer’s block, but also helps creators stretch the boundaries of their stories by having them try out genres and character archetypes they don’t normally use.

This Mint Tin Edition is based on the original Basic Deck (now out-of-print). But I’ve removed some cards and added a few new interesting ones. I hope you enjoy this edition, and that you find this helpful in your creating. And before you ask, I'm sorry but I currently have no plans of reprinting the original Basic Deck.

What you can look forward to, though, is the coming of the Talecraft 15th Anniversary Edition. It's the same Basic Deck, but with a different set of illustrations, and features various Filipino artists, many of whom have been friends of Talecraft since I launched the games in 2007. Here's a sneak peak of the cards.

Archetype Card, Anniversary Deck

Key Card, Anniversary Deck

But we won't stop there! You can look forward to more Talecraft decks next year including the Filipiniana deck, which will feature tropes and trends in Philippine stories (including stories in movies) and the Kinder deck, which will be a deck made especially for younger storytellers, and possibly to be illustrated by my very talented sister, Jade Lu.
