My book is out on Amazon! XD So, some time ago, I was observing nature and how life worked in general. And I thought, it was actually quite magical. Think of how a seed could actually go from tiny thing to a grown plant. Think of a baby and how it go from one tiny egg to a full grown human being. And think of words. Oh, my beloved words. I've seen time and again how few words can change a person's life completely. It's all quite magical if you allow yourself to slow down enough to think about it. And it's all around us. But unlike the magic in the movies and the books, this type of magic is slow. It still followed rules. And it's still quite powerful. But its power is more akin to a wave lapping against a rough rock until it smoothens irreversibly. Then I thought, what if we framed this natural way of things as its own brand of magic? What if I spoke about words through the lens of a fantasy story? And that was how this book was born.
The Wise Man’s Guide to Commonplace Magic is a fictional guidebook written by a magus to his apprentice, teaching him how perceive life and how to behave in a way that is positive and life-giving. The magus does so in the form of spells in a type of magic he calls Commonplace Magic. Learn to do the Magus’ Greeting. Learn about the power of smiles and what the regard spell is. And learn about heart wyrms, the little dragons that try to protect broken hearts.
