Serendipity Journal

I'm creating a journal! But not just any journal. I'm also trying to test out a theory, so I'm making a journal for that. You're familiar with the "rich getting richer, poor getting poorer" principle, right? In my Commonplace Magic world, that covers the rule: "The more you have, the more you will be given." But what if I don't have any? What if I need work, but nobody just seems to want to hire me? Or what if I want love, but there's just no one to love me?

Well, my theory is that life isn't so clean-cut. We actually "have," loosely speaking. It's like when we want more money, and we say don't have money, we actually have money. Not as much as we would like, but we have some. And like anything in this world, I need to have a bit of mass first before I can get more of that thing to gravitate towards me. So, what should I do? If we look at how stars work (because the little is a fractal of the big), we need to collect them and group them together. That way, it gets enough mass to attract more to it. If it's money, maybe we can collect all our little bits of change lying about in one bank account so it forms a larger entity. If it's love, pay attention to all the little bits of love you receive. Gather them in your consciousness over a period of time, and see that you are loved a pretty significant amount.

What about luck? Can we collect luck, too? Now, while I don't believe in the concept of luck as we normally know it, I do believe that coincidences occur. And I am proposing that we can "encourage" these positive coincidences into occurring. And my aim is to test this out through the Serendipity Journal.

The Serendipity Journal will be out on Amazon soon. In the meantime, here's a sneak preview. I'm quite proud of my art output for this project.
